This year’s Saks Fifth Avenue Christmas in Manhattan light show was a serendipity experience for Shelli and me. The day’s walk had began at the Hudson Hotel located at the southwest corner of Central Park.
We meandered through the theater district to the Empire State Building and Macy’s, then back to Time Square. As we walked through Rockefeller Center, the crowds were gathered for this amazing light show on the side of the Saks Fifth Avenue building.
This picture taken the day before includes Shelli in the lower left with the Saks Fifth Avenue building in the background. We had no idea there is a light show on the side of this building every evening in November and December. I had no tripod and had to hold the camera above my head for the entire show.
ENJOY THE SHOW! It views nicely if Full Screen Mode.

New York City is a great city and so much to see. People either love it or don’t. I remember sitting at Grand Central Station the first time I was in NYC and watching ALL the people. Wow. To live there tho’…..NO way. It’s a wonderful place to visit. I am a country girl at heart. 🙂 I am so glad you enjoyed your visit. You two are becoming world travelers, huh? lol
What a neat thing for you 2 to find! I’ve always thought visiting New York around the holidays would be fun!
