Italy: Learning to Cook Slowly in Umbria

Several years ago, Shelli and I became acquainted with Walks of Italy, one of the premier tour companies available today. We have toured with them many times throughout Europe, and have always found them to be professional, knowledgeable, and fun.

Last year, Loredana from Walks introduced us to the Pineli family, and Fontanaro Organic Farms, in Umbria, Italy. What a blessing this introduction turned out to be.

In July of 2017 we spent 3 days with Alina, Giovanni, and their crew. This visit has become one of the highlights of our lives. We tasted wine, savored Olive Oil, and spent a day cooking with Alina.

This article is the product of that wonderful time with one of the most gracious families we have the privilege to call our friends.
