Los Cabos Golf Resort: Home Away from Home

The Los Cabos Golf Resort is a charming Mexican get away in Cabo San Lucas.

If you’re anything like my husband and me, half the fun of getting away is planning the trip.  And then, after you arrive at your destination, enjoying the place you’re staying in.

But what if the hotel or resort isn’t what you’d expected?  What if it’s not clean, or too old and not well maintained?  What if the location is difficult  to get to, or in a not-so-nice part of town?  What if the accommodations just don’t work for your family members?

Even if you’ve read the reviews on the internet, chances are the information presents a variety of opinions and peoples’ perceptions differ considerably. What works for some, might not work for all.  It’s challenging to put money into a reservation for longer than a night or two without doing a lot of research. This brings me to the point of this article.

Sometimes when you find a really good place, you want to recommend it to friends just in case they might be interested.  Well, that’s what happened to us.

We found a really an amazing little resort, not pricey, not over the top, just a darling, clean, traditionally-styled resort. It’s run by quality staff and has a safe, clean, convenient location that has all the amenities you need.   It’s called the Los Cabos Golf Resort and, I must say, we fell in love with the place.  It works so well for us that we’ve come to believe, it’s one of the best deals in Cabo.

It’s the kind of place that works well for couples or families, retirees or Spring Breakers.  Accommodations are studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units.  All units have well-equipped kitchens and their own private patios.

You don’t want to cook, no worries.  Their outdoor restaurant has a variety of tapas, full meals, and specialties.  Everything we’ve tried is delicious and it’s all homemade.  On Monday evenings, they have a poolside all-you-can-eat Mexican buffet, complete with desserts like flan and Mexican chocolate cake.  OMG, it is so delicioso! Oh, did I mention, Free Margaritas.

As for the staff at the Los Cabos Golf Resort, everyone is so friendly, helpful, and courteous.  The room service is prompt and daily maid service is provided.

The grounds are immaculate with elegant rock walkways, tiled stairways, and wrought iron gates.  White stucco buildings are adorned with bright hibiscus, vibrant bougainvillea and elegant palms.  Pictures are worth a thousand words, I hope you enjoy the ones my husband has provided.

IF YOU GO:  The Los Cabos Golf Resort is located on the frontage road on the north side of Federal Hwy 1 which leads to San Jose del Cobo and San Jose del Cabo Airport.  The signs aren’t the best but it is located about mid-way between Costco and Wal-Mart, which is about two miles from the center of town.  Right next door is the CSL Golf Course, which shares the same drive-way.
